Unveiling of the Logo and Brochure of the Second International Fisheries Congress and Expo 2027
The Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) is pleased to announce the official unveiling of the Logo and Brochure of the Second International Fisheries Congress and Expo 2027 by the Honourable Minister for Fisheries, Shri V. A. Abdul Ghafoor, on Monday, 13 July 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS).
The event is jointly organised by the Faculty of Fisheries Science KUFOS and College of Fisheries Panangad Alumni Association, and marks the formal launch of the promotional campaign for the Second International Fisheries Congress and Expo 2027, a prestigious international forum that will bring together researchers, academicians, industry leaders, policymakers, and fisheries professionals to discuss recent advances, emerging technologies, and sustainable development in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.
The University cordially invites all distinguished guests, faculty members, Alumni, researchers, students, stakeholders, and members of the media to attend this significant occasion.
COFPAA is the official alumni association of Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc) graduates from College of Fisheries, Panangad, India (formerly under Kerala Agricultural University but elevated to the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies since 2010). The association is registered under Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act 1955, Reg. No. E.R. 370/ 2001. We have 1200 members in our association starting from batch joined in 1979 until 2016. The association is governed by its committee members headed by the President, Secretary and Treasurer.
We promote the growth of B.F.Sc graduates who are trained as 'Fisheries Professionals' to serve the society in all possible ways. Our alumni have experts in all fisheries sectors of the industry for example, Aquaculture, Capture Fisheries, Seafood Processing and Seafood Trade. Our alumni are also involved in policy making, research, education and extension/ consultation activities thus helping the society at all levels for the upliftment and development of the fisheries sector. Our alumni have a global reach in terms of establishing business activites and doing research at internationally reputed organizations.
